Pre-Departure #2

Maybe this is too many posts before I go, but I'm nervous and need to blog. Today I tried to call the travel agency again (I tried yesterday but it was too late; dang time zones). I got through, but then the call dropped. I didn't have enough time to try again because I had to go back to work. It was very upsetting, but luckily Mom was able to get through. I haven't been able to talk to her much other than occasional texts. I just want to know the details of what's going on!

I keep thinking about what I want to pack, and while I have seen several lists that recommend things, I won't feel comfortable until I've arrived and started unpacking! It all seems so surreal - just a month from tomorrow and I'll start my 11 hour flight. To say that I have butterflies in my stomach is an understatement; it's more like a tornado. Luckily I've been keeping busy so there's not too much time to sit and think about everything. But I'm so ready to just pack up and go!

Pre-Departure #1

Hello all!

In the weeks leading up to my departure, I'm starting to get both excited and nervous. Most of the things I've asked for my upcoming birthday and Christmas are all centered around going to Ireland. Even though most of the details are planned out and I have a good idea of what I'm going to pack, it's stressful! My winter break is going to be busy saying my "so long"s to all my friends and family and with a convention in Chicago shortly after Christmas. I'll continue to update as more things come together, but my posts will become more regular once I'm in Ireland, of course! Until then...
